Re: Lochinver Primary School Harare Zimbabwe
To churches in the Norwich Circuit Dear All
PLEA FOR DONATIONS
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! As per my plea at the circuit meeting yesterday evening, I am writing to seek donations in cash or kind to help a situation at Lochinvar Primary School, Harare, Zimbabwe. The School needs furniture i.e. desks, chairs and writing boards. The school’s priority at the moment are chairs and desks, “chairs may cost about £10.00 per chair if converted to sterling” and text books.
Currently the children are sitting on the floor or on desks if the floors are too damp and ten children are sharing one text book. The school is in a desperate need for help. The School is intending to build a block to accommodate children who are currently squashed in very small dirty and damp classrooms.
I am writing to you all, pleading for help hoping you will find a space in your hearts to help this desperate situation and the beautiful children. I have a video which shows the plight of the school and hoping that I will be able to go round showing it to those willing to help. I am not able to attach it to this email as the attachment is too large.
In the meantime, I attach hereto a letter from the school which can be displayed on church notice boards and/or announce in your churches. Should you feel moved by this plea can you please deposit or transfer the donation into the MCZF account, Lloyds Bank, Sort code 309626, Acc. No 43596160 and quote reference “Lochinvar Primary School”. After depositing would you kindly a text on my mobile number 07984371441 or Min Kennison on 07770611841 or on our emails below so that we may keep up to date and know so that we may buy the chairs as we go
For the sake of administration and accountability I humbly and kindly ask if there are 2 or 3 people from the circuit who can volunteer to work with me in coordinating this project. I am very pleased to say Min Kennison felt moved and is one of the volunteers. The money will be sent via Western Union to parents in Zimbabwe to acknowledge receipt and take photos of the purchases so that we have a clear record of funds and donations. Hoping that the team of volunteers from this side will have a chance to visit the school at some point and form a relationship. James says faith without action is dead (James 2:14. Let us preach the good news to those who are less privileged.
May our dear Lord continue to bless you for all you do.
